The future content of Summertime Saga is submitted to Patreon pledgers’ opinion through polls. The proposal that received the most votes from the community is retained and added to the roadmap.

Roadmap

The roadmap is already set for the next four major updates. Upcoming minor updates are not disclosed. The tracker that monitors the game development is a benefit starting from tier 2 membership.

Content polls

Only tier 2 and higher pledgers are allowed to vote in the content polls on the studio’s website, each tier conferring one or more additional tokens. However, the content can be imposed by the team members if the game development requires it. Minor updates are not subject to polling in order to keep their contents confidential until their public releases. These polls are usually done after the release of a new version.

Multiple endings or linear stories

The poll was proposed on June 11, 2020 and results were announced on June 12, 2020. DarkCookie’s consideration was about to write the characters’ stories with multiple branches and endings, or linear narratives.

Feature Description Result Linear stories The stories are exclusively linear. No matter what dialogue options the player chooses, all the content and sex scenes will be unlocked in one playthrough. 54% Multiple endings stories The stories are linear for the first half, but, as the player progresses, unique dialogue options will determine the outcome and ending of them.
